The locals were outraged last December when a group of young Vermonters did more than $10,000 in damage during a break-in and beer bash in the home where Robert Frost spent more than 20 summers. So it's understandable that Jay Parini, a Frost biographer and poet, hesitated when he was asked to help out with a novel sentencing scheme.
