Opposing Sides Argue Their Cases in Key Affirmative-Action Suit

Aware that their dispute may be headed to the U.S. Supreme Court, the opposing sides in the legal battle over affirmative action at the University of Michigan each fought hard last week to persuade a federal appeals court to view key points of contention through their eyes.
