John Carroll at a Glance
Step onto John Carroll University's suburban Cleveland campus and you step into the future. A gift to the university in fall 2003 created one of the region's first all-wireless campuses. In addition, the new Dolan Center for Science and Technology, opened in September 2003, places the university at the cutting edge of teaching, research and learning. This 265,000 square-foot facility houses five science and mathematics departments and related programs; it also provides conference, classroom and meeting space for the entire campus community.
With more than 40 academic programs, plus an extensive selection of interdisciplinary areas of concentration, John Carroll's reputation continues to grow for reasons that include retention and graduation rates, placement rates, academic reputation, outstanding facilities, and a caring and supportive educational atmosphere.
True to its mission, John Carroll is a Catholic and Jesuit University dedicated to developing young women and men with the knowledge and character to lead and serve. John Carroll is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the U.S. and one of 500 Jesuit educational institutions worldwide. Ranked among the top master's granting universities in the Midwest, John Carroll's 3,450 full-time undergraduate students make it the third largest independent University in Ohio.
