North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is a university on the move. As a land-grant historically-black university, with Carnegie classification as high research activity and a 115-year history, the faculty, staff, and students have set the standard high for innovation, uncompromising excellence, and forward-looking endeavors. We have a growing student population over 11,000, and together with five other colleges and universities, we are located in the beautiful Piedmont Triad community of Greensboro, North Carolina.

A&T is home to learner-centered programs and foremost research initiatives with sponsored research totaling almost $36 million in the past year. A&T is noted as the nation's top producer of African American engineers and technologists. The School of Business and Economics is fully accredited in all undergraduate accounting and business programs by AACSB International. In addition to its 99 undergraduate degree programs offered in agriculture, education, nursing, and arts and sciences, are 50 master's and five doctoral programs. Our graduates from these programs have explored space and run for president.

Thanks to a $160 million bond program approved by the citizens of North Carolina in 2000, the landscape of our campus is ever-changing. The construction under this bond program extends into 2008. The vista of our campus now includes new homes for the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business and Economics, new residence halls for our students, renovated space for University Galleries, Memorial Student Union, a new Science Building and many others. Projects under construction or in design include a new parking deck and a building for the School of Education.

The University and the North Carolina A&T University Foundation have entered into ground-breaking partnerships that have allowed us to advance the construction of much-needed residences for our students and a tennis complex. Additional private giving resulted in our construction of a new eight-lane Olympic-quality track and field facility and wellness center in Aggie Stadium.
