Broad Institute's Founders Will Raise Their Gifts by $400-Million

Eli and Edythe L. Broad announced on Thursday that they were pledging $400-million to endow the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, a biomedical-research center in Cambridge, Mass., that is jointly run by Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research.
